I was installing Symantec Mail Security 6.0 on with Exchange 2007 on a Windows 2008 64 bit host today and ran into the error:
Symantec mail security failed to enable asp.net web extensions......
To resolve this error you need to install the IIS6 Scripting Tools under the IIS 6 Management and Compatibility Section of the IIS Server role.
The installation should go smoothly after that.
