Portable Hardware Network Sniffer

They have all of those portable hardware based key loggers out there, why not something for network traffic? Something inconspicuous that you could just plug and let sit for a few days. 
I'm searching around right now but haven't found much yet.

Cisco ASA Emulation

I downloaded an ASA VMWARE image from this site:


It works great!

You add more interfaces to your ASA, just as if you were adding them to a VM. It was much easier to configure then Qemu was. E0, VMNET1, E1, VMNET2, ect...

All of the commands were there, the one thing is that you can't use ASDM with it yet. 

Who needs that though?

I then bound the outside VMNET's to GNS3 clouds and walla, full blown WAN simulations running on my laptop, Sweet.
